Far Isles are mysterious islands which sailors and explorers occasionally claim to have discovered or been shipwrecked on, far off known coasts, and, often, quite close to the World Fleece. They are unique not only in terms of being rare to find and even more rare to be rediscovered twice, but also in expressing select traits of other planes - such as rains of water elementals, walls of lava, or spaces in which wind and gravity misbehave.

Some Far Isles are undoubtedly more fiction that truth, forming a core part of the lore of the sea. The island of Eve is an important story that describes something of a far island, a story which gave name to the lands of Horiza (originally thought to be a mere Far Island). The mythical Island of Neboule and its forests of glass is another prominent mythological Far Isle.

The island of Mewji has been identified by some scholars as a Far Isle. Like with many other things, the Vilhi generally view the classification of such central pillars of their lore and identity into broad terminology and systems as arrogant.
