Eyne is a term for floating, and sometimes moving, islands - which usually exist through planar man-made magical reasons. The most plentiful and well known of these are the Celesteyne of the Celene. The region of Mogxa has a number of smaller natural Eyne that are closer to the ground than others and largely stationary, usually dotting already difficult and highly forested, cliffy, mountainous and full of waterfalls terrain. The mega-city of Philosophia has a number of Eyne today held up by the leylines the city runs on, allowing them to move around a circuit, such as Backbreaker Island. The Dragontears can also be considered a type of tiny eyne. There’s also a semi-mythological set of three Eyne over Vön, though their presence is apparently always obscured by the eternal wintery clouds above. The smallest and technically most common form of Eyne, usually unsettled, are called Wild Eyne.

Eyne remain rare outside of the few places they’re known to exist, and are highly expensive and usually impractical to make and maintain in all but the fewest cases.

A few stories of Far Isles describe floating islands, sometimes called Far Eyne.
