A primal entity that resides in Friedport. The myth goes she was created after a girl was tragically killed in an underground tunnel by an outsider, her body left in a series of tree roots that may have absorbed her soul. The ritualistic grieving done by her landcrab tribe, the Quietgraves, may have contributed to her reincarnation as the Reedmother. Those whom have visited the site since describe seeing a beating heart made of roots. Friedport may have experienced a growth spurt to its trees, grass and other plants since the Reedmother came to.
In later times, the speculated killer Carlos Valenci faced much hatred, causing him to take a job somewhere he believed he’d take less attention - the Portaupearl Crypts. He worked here until his own mysterious murder.
A small now-broken open shack near Amberhole saw a large and old-seeming tree suddenly and overnight grow through it. It has since become a site of devotion to nature, and is frequently visited by Leshys spirits.
