The Mogxan Pretender Period, also known as the Dragonblood Pretender Period or Prince’s Dynasty, was a time towards the end of the Eastern Kobold Dynasty but before the Idurian Empire, in which a prominent Dragonblood family became the de facto rulers of the Mogxan Empire. The Kobold Throne technically remained around, but it had become obvious to everyone that they merely rubber-stamped the commands of the much beloved and charismatic Dragonborn ruler that had taken the title of Prince. Very popular amongst the Draconic Tribes, as well as amongst kobold and assorted nobilities they had maintained close social ties to, the Pretender Dragonbloods may have been able to officialise and maintain their rule had God-King Idur not invaded - whom did engage diplomatically with the family, only the legitimate eastern kobolds.
It is unclear what happened to the family. Some report having witnessed their mansion get ransacked by Idurian troops, although they likely had plenty of time to evacuate. The dominant theories is that the family either got captured and executed in secret (either by Idurian troops, or perhaps vengeful Kobold warriors blaming them for their weakness against invasion), or that they went into hiding and changed their names. The family claimed to know how to restore true dragons out of dragonblood lineages.
