Guaneste (pronounced more like Xuaneste) is a settlement in inland Eastern Mogxa that once served as the Imperial Capital of the Eastern Kobold Dynasty. It serves as an administrative, military and commercial hub (for inland routes) in the east, connecting to Singsong, Dreyus and the Apalakis road down to the east and south - and the central Mogxan settlements of Pezhu and Poli. The city maintains a bit of a historical rivalry with the Imperial City due to them claiming the title of Imperial City from them.
Guano is named after this settlement, due to traditionally being mined in large quantities in a number of caves around the city (though the pronunciation has diverged).
