Secrets ahead!
While anyone is free to read what’s ahead, everything else in this article is privileged knowledge only known to a few specific people in the world of Vendrith. Take particular caution to not assume your character knows these things, or avoid it entirely if you’re worried about keeping your own and your characters’ knowledge separate!
Gozi was formerly a Druid in-training when living in his birthplace. It was during a famine he decided to abandon his druidism and hunt animals for his village, before then also becoming a thief-for-hire to pay for their continued well-being. It was during a trophy-hunt for alligators that he killed the mother of Schnappi, which had also been raising Gator Grippli - making himself a villainous and rival figure in their lives.
He would end up stuck in a contract under The Fat Tiger together with Vendetta Rapidly, whom he bonded with as a partner-in-crime. He appreciated her smarts with city life, while she appreciated his smarts with the wilderness. Their servant position under the Fat Tiger took them to Horiza when he wanted them to capture the Vestitur relics for him. At this, they made progress but were eventually out-paced by the thief Roslyn Chatkur, whom worked for the Fat Tiger without a restrictive contact. The Fat Tiger had taken Roslyn up in order to avoid doing good on a contractual promise to free Gozi and Vendetta if they could retrieve the Vestitur Relics. After the pair tried to steal one of the relics back from Roslyn, she learned of their situation and agreed to help them get their freedom. Gator Grippli, while not capable of fully forgiving Gozi, also understood his predicaments and agreed to help.
