The Veldaks Dragon is a cloud Dragon that swore to serve the Veldaks family of Valfrid Veldaks and Ragnil Veldaks, after the former met and did something for or against him in an adventure once. He introduced the Summer Games of Friedport directly preceding the Landcrab Plot. The dragon is fiercely protective of their manor, family members and legacy - though has now been left with little purpose after the couple died heirless (as far as anyone knows).
The Prince claims to be the bastard child of Valfrid, which may either irritate the dragon or lead him towards serving him as the last remnant of the dynasty.

Unbeknownst to the dragon, Mistress Crimtone is the child of Ragnil Veldaks. She wishes not to be associated, however, and has left Friedport to travel the world.
