A number of people of Vendrith have not just a simple ancestry, but have mixed or even special and magical blood flowing through them- including from various Creatures. The Dromaar, Aiuvarin and Beastkin, and even the noble Dragonbloods, serve a normal enough place in society that they’re rarely considered special heritages, however.
Some special heritages have a monstrous heritage. This includes:
- The Undead Dhampir, related to Vampyr.
- The Hungerseed, related to Oni.
- The Changelings, a type of Shapeshifter born of Hags.
- The Ifrit, descendent from fire planar creatures like the Efreet.
- The Suli, carrying the mixed blood of various elemental Genies.
Other special heritages include:
- The Aphorites, those touched by the powers of cosmic order.
- The Ardande, those whose bodies are imbued with the power of Nature.
- The Duskwalkers, a type of creature tied to the River of Death.
- The Ganzi, those touched by the powers of cosmic chaos.
- The Nephilim, those touched by devilish, demonic or angelic influence.
- The Oread, those whose bodies are imbued with the power of earth.
- The Sylph, those whose bodies are imbued with the power of air.
- The Talos, those whose bodies are imbued with the power of metal.
- The Undine, those touched by the power of aquatic creatures and water.
- The Reflections, supposedly perfect copies of another person.
