Amoas is a settlement on the Celene of Canath, famously enveloped by the cliffs of an essentially impassable terrain called the Pyliamoas around them, guarding them from land invasion. While it has attempted to use this advantage by building a sizeable navy, it has many times lost it and had to retreat to taking defensive positions. It has built a highly impressive set of coastal fortifications, loaded with magical Cannons, intended to prevent invasion from the sea as well.
While the land around it cannot be reached by regular trade or armies, it can still be traversed by individual adventurers or those with the right skills for it. A number of tunnels help connect the bluffs, ravines and cliffs of this strange terrain, making for a route that can be used to deliver messages for couriers or such even while under naval blockade.
