“The Celene” or Celeynian Sea is an internal ocean that is considered to form the heart of (at least the city states side of) Canath. The sea is famous for its vibrant colours and calm waters on most days of the year, as well as its unique winds that can be utilised to fly up in vortexes and reach the floating islands called Eyne above.
The Celene is especially affected by the tidal forces of the Moons of Vendrith. During high tides a number of coastal features disappear underwater, during neutral tides they reveal themselves, and during low tides a variety of islands pop out into the Celene.
Maps of the Celene need to map out the shore features and islands that can appear from lower tides, as well as the Eyne that can move around (often in separate boxes, or even as wooden disks that can be moved around the map paper).
It was once closely associated with Haeven and thought to be home of the Rainbow Bridge, shocking the world when the War Over Haeven saw the real Rainbow Bridge destroyed over the Mogxan Shenghi Break instead.
