Secrets ahead!
While anyone is free to read what’s ahead, everything else in this article is privileged knowledge only known to a few specific people in the world of Vendrith. Take particular caution to not assume your character knows these things, or avoid it entirely if you’re worried about keeping your own and your characters’ knowledge separate!
The Old Crone was a Kholo Hag that likely was related to Ragnil Veldaks and her secret daughter, Mistress Crimtone. She drew her powers from the blood and energy of these two from afar, and fought to ensure they would remain alive and on the path to power. She also loved to play with Tarot Cards and telling the fortunes - and really, the predicted downfall of - her enemies.
She cared little for their comforts, however, and eventually imprisoned Crimtone for her own ‘safekeeping.’ Her imprisonment was done by the Fat Tiger for money. The Old Crone had three hags helping her at one point, named Plump, Sweet and Cream respectively.
The Old Crone also conspired with the Blackout Crusaders. She worked especially closely with Auldwell Fareawel whilst trying to get Bande Aparte declared guilty in a sham trial. The Old Crone, as well as Auldwell’s lingering spirit, would eventually be ended by the The Landcrab Plot.
