The Architect is a rumoured person responsible for much of the architecture in Friedport but whom was not credited.
The Real Architect
Secrets ahead!
While anyone is free to read what’s ahead, everything else in this article is privileged knowledge only known to a few specific people in the world of Vendrith. Take particular caution to not assume your character knows these things, or avoid it entirely if you’re worried about keeping your own and your characters’ knowledge separate!
The Architect, real name Sakera de Koyne, is a former architect of Friedport, whom never earned an official degree or the respect of her peers or those who could fund her projects. She did however see many of her inventions realised by having her twin brother The Hand of the Architect pose as an architect in her place. Unbeknownst to most of those the twins fooled together, the Hand was blind and not particularly skilled in architecture (though he picked up an interest in maths).

The Architect was a Crusader that once played an important part in the secretive Blackout Crusaders camp on the island. Having been invited to build a church inside and an invisible stairway to the then newly discovered Labyrinthine portal of Haven, the Architect hatched a plan to use it as an invasion point for the Crusader Armies to seize Horiza. However, this plan was rejected by Amelie Kenton, and the Architect was kicked out and barred from further entry.
One fateful day the Architect died at a construction site of hers, possibly due to foul play, but remained as a Ghost bound to her many sites of architecture. Dead, no longer able to move around freely, and her plan having failed, the Architect and her brother fell out of favour at the Blackout Crusader camp, especially with the rise of their new leader - Auldwell Fareawel.
Still trying to realise the Labyrinthine plan, the Architect looked for people to kill Amelie and take over the sisterhood from the inside so, once inviting Bande Aparte to do so. Rejected, the twins have fought the The Landcrab Plot on multiple occasions. One such occasion was at the Riseagain Tower, an enormous wooden tower the Architect realised the plans for based on the Amurrun Markings of Valfrid Veldaks. Here, they killed Mag Gafn, a goblin inventor fraud that had received the credit for the tower, but failed to kill Ashur Holdok and Gator Grippli. Later, Ashur Holdok installed a plaque honouring the Architect as the building’s actual planner on the tower.
