The “March of the Corpse Flowers” is a title given in hindsight to a Crusader crusade that attempted to open the Regal Path to the Crusaders for the future. Taking heavy attrition and facing opposition by the Nagonkori whom continued to attack despite (forced) agreements with religious leaders, the operation secured no lasting benefit and resulted in the effective destruction of most of the Crusader Army that performed it. The commander in charge got demoted partway through, informed by the arrival of a messenger bird. The replacement was General Architrave.
The (anti-)climax of the March was the siege of Genxoqul in early 1252 ADc, a part of the heavily jungled region nested in a mountain valley known as Galaekor.
