Lorgun is an island-chain out at sea south-east of continental Mogxa. While it is a considerable voyage between the two, it has still in the past been considered part of the Mogxan Imperial and cultural sphere. It is also on these grounds it is part of the modern concept of Iduria. Lorgun has long battled with Dragons from the Draconic Empire. Today, the experienced dragon hunters of Lorgun have largely unified the Lorgun islands under one confederation - though a number of dragons still linger in the outer islands to the north (sometimes called Deria).
History
Lorgun was initially settled by an early contingent from Mogxa which took to the islands for a variety of reasons, including escaping law and old families. As it grew new settlers and traders from Mogxa would eventually show up. Eventually, the Draconic Empire of Mogxa came knocking and demanded Lorgun be treated as an imperial province. After a short war, the largely harmonic and unarmed island society surrendered, much laid in flames.
Lorgun did rebuild under Mogxan rule, and enjoyed an influx of Mogxan culture and innovations. It was during this time that many native spices and rare herbs got noticed by merchants, whom would sell them across the sea and start a longstanding trade network.
After the Draconic Concordat, Lorgun was cut off from the throne as rebel dragons directly seized the various islands as their own personal fiefdoms. It was in response to this that the Lorguni would begin to plot their uprising, putting together teams and intricate plans to ambush dragons at their weakest and ensure a victory over the ferociously powerful creatures. The new Eastern Kobold Dynasty would also go on to privately recognise the Lorguni people and cooperated to send adventurers and weapons to the resistance. After a particularly strenuous set of slayings, the Dragons would be driven off the biggest island and the Confederation proclaimed. The Confederation would continue to claim more smaller islands with time, though its pace has slowed considerably. Today, many of the islands remaining with dragons are considered not worth the effort, and thus the Lorguni unification has come to a sort of standstill.
