Chatwood is a crusader that moves around a lot, and is believed to play the role of some sort of coordinator, administrator or messenger between various Crusader factions. Chatwood’s name has come up in various mentions of Home Base, a near-mythically secretive camp of the Crusader leadership under the Iron Lotus.
Chatwood is once credited for having transported the infamous sanitationist Chaucer to the cult town of Veridica. Chaucer, having committed slaughters in the name of anti-deism, was a highly important target for imprisonment or killing by the Crusaders. Unfortunately for Chaucer, the downfall of Verdicia has left Chaucer’s status unknown - either killed or freed. Chatwood is however lucky to be one of the fewest survivors of said incident.
Chatwood found in the woods and raised Ergruff Ward, whom also survived Veridica. Ward has received certain jobs and responsibilities in the Crusader ranks directly from Chatwood.
