General Kard was a G’Mayun soldier turned general, whom eventually commanded The Starfish of Friedport, and for a long time served as its governor. Having many injuries suffered from earlier wars, he spent many meticulous hours patching up and polishing his near-shattered beak.
A bit of a recluse, Kard often spent his time retreating away to go fishing on his own, even as an incredibly important public figure. He instead delegated much to his subordinates, including the young but ambitious Lieutenant Aeries. Still, Kard was known to be careful, and a popular myth went around that he was so confident in his governorship because he both had dirt on Kiam Lockneed and Captain Damia, as well as a Dead Man’s Switch.
He is believed to have died during the golem attack of the Landcrab Plot, possibly while trying to escape the city as it was surrounded by an annihilating forcefield.
