Jade the Just was a highly popular and simultaneously controversial Sanitationist of the the Round, whom made it his life’s work to tear down the Guilds of Philosophia and integrated Philosophia directly under the empire’s rule. He had a background in Law, where he’d earned his nickname, possibly sarcastically but co-opted for propagandistic purposes nonetheless.
He worked with the retired Knight Dimitri the Deadly to do so. During this work, he oversaw the creation of the Wereforged project, which created a Philosophian make of Automatons. Unbeknownst to most at the time, he also cracked down hard on crime, even of the most petty variety, in order to gather more prisoners whose souls could power the automaton cores. One criminal situation he quite justifiably tried to end was the Goblin Gang War of the city.
In the end, Jade the Just was stopped by the Jadebreakers.
