Philosophia1 is an enormous city at the centre of Mogxa, and is by tradition considered both the first city and the biggest city in the world. It was founded by the Flock of Man under the leadership of the Icen Maiden. The city has a unique form of self-governance under the Guilds of Philosophia as part of the Pactlaw - a magically enforcing set of rules (like a localised concordat) that runs on Leylines. Despite being the largest city in Mogxa and officially part of the Sanitorium, its autonomy persists. The Sanitorium’s first and main sanitorium building exists on the outskirts of Philosophia that are free from pactlaw rule.

Philosophia is in many ways built like a fortress that could never in a million years be taken by an outside attacker. The Dragontears of Philosophia add to this, making attack by dragons and other flying creatures or vehicles difficult. These are small shards of glass, crystal, or other materials speckled high over the city and frozen in place, which give the appearance of a sparkling night sky. The Undercity of Philosophia is also particularly complex, and provides endless opportunities to hide, relocate and perform assymetrical Warfare from, something the very few whom have attempted to subjugate Philosophia have felt.
The city of Philosophia recently saw the Jadefall Crisis, in which the popular but controversial sanitationist Jade the Just’s rule was brought down.
In the end we will be one. […] Indeed. Till all are one.
