The Magus in the High Tower is a legendary magus that largely acts as a recluse, but occasionally enters the public eye to give grand predictions or warnings. While he is direct, harsh, and perhaps offends the sensibilities of many he criticises, you still get the sense he’d never lie to you.
He’s lived for quite a while, appearing in records going back to before the War Over Haeven.
The Magus has publicly spoken about a crisis of Arcane Magic, pointing to the Leyline Problem and Disasters of the Silence, which he blames on forgetting and messing with the Concordats. He was the targAcademie Peripherieation Attempt|assassination]] one of the last public speeches he held, taking a poisoned knife to his chest in view of all before continuing his speech.
