A young human prodigy Wizard from Philosophia studying Leylines and elemental terrain, broadly shortened to magical geology. He graduated from the Academie Peripherie with his thesis relating to the Leyline Problem, which he wrote whilst on a covert research tour of the Rubyfirth Coast. He is believed to have an appreciation of the Icen Maiden, a titan that’s seen as the patron of Philosophia and leylines. He has fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes, and is typically seen adorned in a flashy blue wizard’s outfit. He has also been known to disguise himself as other ancestries using magic.
Magnus eventually travelled to Friedport to continue his research. On the ships on the way there, he became witness to the attempted robbery of The Fat Tiger by the Queen of Grog. This is also where he met Roslyn Chatkur, whom managed to steal the stolen item back, impressing Magnus enough that he hired her to help him as he settled into working in Friedport.
After helping fight off strange creatures of light or vitality spawned by Leylines, Magnus joined the The Landcrab Plot, helped stop the Landcrab Plot, and won the Summer Games, gaining the title of Herō of Friedport. As part of this he uncovered a leyline map created by the Horizan Precursors.
At the end of these events, he (unwittingly) helped summon his mysterious sponsor, the Magus in the High Tower (and his tower-town) to Horiza using secret teleportation techniques.
