The Young Bluff is a large largely-contiguous cliff creating a large height difference between the western and eastern edge of the Mogxan Steppe. It’s called young because it only gained its current form recently during an enormous earthquake and tectonic shift, often considered a part of the Disasters of the Silence. Cliffs existed along the line previously, but was less extreme and less contiguous, providing more slopes which could be climbed or descended down.
The city of Falleya once sat on a passage point on the Old Bluff, which lost over half of its population and buildings to the disaster - seeing much of it fall to its death and destruction below. The ruins of Falleya provide a grim sight to this day. Many more of Falleya’s residents have since fled for fear of further events like it, some of them settling the settlement of Bluffshire. Falleya is today reduced to a mere small town.
The Young Bluff also lies along what at one point was the effective end of Galaen influence, when their people rode on the steppe.
