Zardoba is a region centred on a port city of the same name in western Mogxa, on the shore of The Rend, ruled by the Sanitorium but enjoying considerable autonomy. It has been an important trade hub for centuries, being viewed as a bit of a rival by Kathayle. It once served as the only legal port of foreign trade in the Mogxan Empire. Today, its trade has dried up due to the Crusader Conflict, but it remains a port used to build, safekeep and then repair the Navy of the Rend. It also serves an important role feeding and supplying the Heavenly Wall.

Zardoba sits at the end of the Electrum Mountains running east, along the southern shade of which the Silver River runs through and into the city of Zardoba. Avrantes also lies further up the river here. To the north lies the Zardoban Desert, which mostly makes travel towards the Mogxa non-practical. Along the shore however lies Rendcliff, which has some settlements usually reachable by boat. To the south is Hommagong, which has since absorbed some of the lands traditionally considered Zardoba during its peak.
Zardoba was for a time an independent empire under the Zardoban Crown, which was famous for its war-ships and many quests to bring back gold and other valuables.
