Overview
Elves are a mystical and constructed people who were at the centre of the advanced Hightower Civilisation. They are known to have an otherworldly beauty to them, but also for creeping many other ancestries out with their doll-like features. Their emotions, behaviour and once society are known to be aloof and somewhat hard to understand in its complexity. Since the fall of the Hightowers, the formula to create elves has been lost and as such elves have remained exceptionally rare. Those who are around still suffer from amnesia, and are often found after being ‘asleep’ for years.
Not having a known definite lifespan (though dying if their bodies receive enough wear and tear), the elves that still exist likely do so from the hightower days or soon after them, but all exhibit elements of amnesia. It is thought that this amnesia either affects their earliest memories, or is specifically targeting the days of the Hightower Civilisation. The latter interpretation is often incorporated into conspiracies around the downfall of Elves and the Hightower Civilisations.
The formula for creating new elves appears to be lost - despite countless attempts to recreate it. The attempt to recreate elves can be said to have led to the creation of Automatons and Poppets. A much more common remnant of the elves is the Aiuvarin (also known as half-elves), which are the offspring resulting from procreation with an elf (or another aiuvarin). The Vanara, while their own ancestry, claims to have inherited much of the best parts of elven culture.

Possible Changes
The world of Vilhun is primarily intended to only have two clockwork-style robot ancestries, Automatons, and the ancient Elves. As such, the remaining cast of robot-like ancestries are in high likelyhood of being folded into these pre-existing ancestries.
*As such, here are some proposed changes to Elves:
- Add Android feats to the Elf choice pool with the Uncommon and Automaton traits. In the future, the list may be narrowed down and the uncommon trait removed.
- Add Conrasu feats to the Elf choice pool with the Uncommon and Automaton traits. *In the future, the list may be narrowed down and the uncommon trait removed.
