Fenrunr makes up the rugged, mountainous and cold northeastern coastline of Mogxa, which has throughout history has both terrorised and been tributaries of the Mogxan Empires. Traditionally ruled by various Chieftains and Jarls, Fenrunr is today unified under a foreign monarch, and pays the Sanitorium tribute.

Fenrunr is home to the Skald language, named so for the areas’ bardic performers and lorekeepers, the Skalds. Fenrunr is also perhaps the earliest known site at which Dwarves reached the surface world. While never assimilated into Fenruni culture, the Dwarves and Fenruni long lived side by side in these lands, and they played a role in the formation of the Skald and Dwarven script. This script was used in early Arcane Magic as the language of magical glyphs - as it still is today in Mogxa.

Largely distant and not of great economic importance, Fenunr has been a little known backwater to pretty much all parts of the world but Mogxa. The exception to this was the time of the Freigings, raids in which Fenruni marauders reached as far as the Elven Hightowers of Galae, the Challenge Isles of Vilhun, and the Rubyfirth Bay. These compile a large part of the early, pre Skaldic-Dwarven script, writings about the people of Fenrunr.

Fenrunr is home to a very few halfling ruins. Famously, these contained horned helmets.

The northern coast of Mogxa once hosted a people much like the Fenrunr, which once shared a border and trade ties with the old nomads of Galae. They have long since integrated into Mogxan customs, though some elements of Fenrunr-like living can be noticed, especially when it comes to fishing, sailing and woodworking.
