Vilhun

Part of Iduria, Vilhun is an island-chain archipelago north of Galae and Mogxa. These islands include, in a loose order of relevance: the Isle of Flod, Dragonbreath Island, Challenge Isles, Scalendia, Greenkleks, and the surrounding Wan Islets.

For more in Vilhun, see vilhun

Home to a staunchly independent people, as well as a notable number of Dragons and their offspring.^[Although as per the Draconic Concordat, all of those offspring being humanoid.] It also has half a dozen of diasporas within its borders.

Primary regional deities of note are the Hun Lords, with the multiple noble families, and all dynasties, being associated with their divine lineage.

The primary spellcasting system in the isles is that of Essence Casting.

The primary languages of Vilhun are Draconic, and the Vili language, a descendant of Mogxan common tongue.

The nation is ruled by The Vilhi Sultanate, though currently it is facing a succession crisis.

The wide spanning archipelago has a history of many natural disasters, now attributed to the Disasters of the Silence which the Vili people hold the Sanitorium and by extension Mogxa in contempt for. As such, Crusaders often find many new recruits from Vilhun to then send down down south.

Ancestries

The makeup of the Vili society closely resembles that of the Hun Lords, with Kitsune, Automatons, and Dragonblood being notable minorities due to history. There may be a slightly larger amount of Elves than elsewhere on the continent due to proximity to the now-sunken hightowers.

Deities

See Hun Lords for information as to the Hun Lords, but they are not the only deities worshipped on the isles.

Industry

Vilhun has a limited set of industries due to its geography, primarily consisting of fishing, subsistence farming, agriculture for the wealthy, and lumber mills. As such, for everything else they are highly reliant on imports, making for a rather precarious economic situation.

While widely regarded as excellent craftsmen, this necessity for quality is predicated on the fact that quality material is scarce, especially in metallurgy where creating a half-decent sword or armor requires a lot of effort. As such, the previous sultan has heavily invested in magical and alchemical industries in an effort to be able to transmute metals on large scale, either by improving the refining process, or literally turning metals into other metals. One of his withstanding achievements has been the invention of Transmutation Engines.
